06' honda civic turbo, From the factory

Buddy of mine is a service writer for Honda here in cincinnati, A factory turbo'd civic is scheduled to be out in the spring. has anybody else heard about this? His boss leaked it to him by accident. I don't know the exact specs yet on what motor, what size turbo, he is in the process of finding out.

can't wait to see it.

Even Honda does release a turboed engine. It will not be in a civic, with a r18. It probley will be in a K series (Si, RSX, RSX-S) / S2000.

The internet ALWAYS knows before dealers do. Even they will admit that they read sites like the TOV to find out about new model releases. Chances of your friend being right are zero to none.

they did make a legend turbo back in like 88. im keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

No, they didn't. They have one turbo model and it was an 80s, JDM only vehicle.

This thread is bull-****. And that comment about "gay-*** environment" is just as stupid as this rumour.

I really don't think Honda will make a factory turbo civic. If they did it would probably be a DOHC and it would be a little pricey, probably to compete with the WRX which is AWD and I would take over a turbo FACTORY civic anyday.

nsx= no turbo
Civic SI = no turbo
RSX Type S = no turbo

An add campaign pointing out all the the new civics "saftey" features = no turbo

Why would they turbo a civic? Honda would have to design a whole new engine. Nothing they have designed now can effectively handle a turbo.
