Default Building a system... Any advice?

Hey guys with a new job i got i get some pretty good deals on Infinity car stereo stuff so im thinking about this setup-
(i already have a Alpine CDE 9845 head unit)
what id buy-
Infinity Reference 611a amp
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-P...R611A
A single 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-P...R101D

Do you guys this that these two would match good together considering power output?
Also Do i want to buy the Dual voice coil version? Any help is greatly appreciated

It will work nicely together.
Just follow the instructions on wiring up the sub.

The amp puts out about 100 watts RMS more then the subs are supposed to handle. I called crutchfield and they told me that this is a good thing. Anyone have any advice on that? Also whats up with the dual voice coils versus a single one?

yes the amp does not have to work hard, to put out power to the subs
just back the gain down a tad!

The dual coils give you more wiring options. If you wire in series you will be able to run at 8ohms, which most amps can handle (usually at the cost of reduced power delivery), or you can run parallel, down to 2ohms, (suitable for class D amps).

My suggestion is you go for more power, that sub can handle it. I have a JBL BP600.1, puts out 600w @ 2 ohms (1 ohm stable, but gets a little hot), running 1 Kappa Perfect 10.1D too. It's done a wonderfully reliable job for over 3 years and my gain is maxed out. (Sub controller on headunit is set to 5 and has a range of 8)
