Default Ring in the US?

What would you guys think about a Nur type track in the US? Either East or West where the mountains provide the right terrain. 12-13 mile course that is open for everyday use like the Nur is, except on race days. And a 2 mile course that is open for series races and club weekends.

Yes, no, don't care?

I personally think it would be great.

Just my random thought for the day.

Possibly a National Honda Challange race there?

Yeah, that would be great!

But so would someone giving me a billion dollars.

I think both have the same likely hood of happening unfortunately!

How about get the track built before thinking about what will race on it?

lets see, that'd be what, about a 2000-5000 acre facility? so the land alone would be quite a pretty penny. then talking about the environmental impact report/research, thats going to take about 1-3 years to complete. so I'm thinking about 10 years out, all said and done, if you were to start right now. I estimate about $50million to $200million in costs.

Although, i think I could use a course like that.

And where you can drive up off of the street and run the course in a school bus if you want as fast as you can go. Of course mixing in with the crotch rockets and race cars too.

I can't wait to see what kind of flesh eating lawyers crawl all over the track owner the first time someone gets a hangnail at speed on this thing if it were built.

Such a facility already exists. Let's just buy Deal's Gap from the people of Tennessee & NC and charge $10 per pass . I believe a hill climb event on the Dragon would be awesome!

Unfortunately, you're right about the legal stuff. You'd be putting your family fortune up for grabs if you opened a track or public road for public lapping in our lawyer infested country!

Catching the rear of the car on the last turn of the up-hill esses at VIR - Priceless, well almost, except for a new pair of underwear.

If you want the excitement of competitive driving on the streets...

I'm sure some person would build a house next to the track after it's complete then have it shut down after complaining about the noise

It would be fantastic.

But as long as you are dreaming, might as well throw in free hookers, tires that never wear out, and unlimited sponsor money

Yep.
Put that right next to Jennifer Gardner and Serena Williams being my live-in sex slaves.

Serena is the hotness.
I'm betting she could crack walnuts between her perfect round butt cheeks.

Hmm, I don't know. I am scared she might have walnuts between her legs with that muscle mass. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
