Default Crank Pulley sensor question. need help asap!!

ive done the search but nothing really answered my question. ok so i just swapped a jdm b16 into my 99 coupe (OBD2B). the b16 is i believe OBD0 because there is no crank pulley sensor. now do i need to swap a oil pump that has the CPS sensor on it, or can i run the motor without a CPS. i know ill throw a check if i dont wire it up, but will it screw up the motor itself? i will be running a Type R ecu.

do you mean crank fluctuation sensor??? when i put my b16 in my car it didnt have one because the jdm motors didnt come with them. all you have to do is take the crank pulley off and mount it behind the pulley on the block..not very hard to do. on the other hand...i believe if you're running a japanese ECU you wont have to worry about it (i think). My spoon sports ecu didnt throw a CEL for it but when i put my USDM p73 in it threw a CEL for the CFS.
