Tranny problem please help.
It's a hydro b16 tranny.
To make a long story short the tranny was taken apart and the differential was replaced with a welded one. Put the case back together and put the intermediate shaft in to make sure it would spin. Nope, solid as a rock. I click it though the gears and into neutral and that all seems fine.
I've never used a welded diff or anything but an open one so it that right? logic seems to tell me that it should spin freely in neutral. I'm not a technical idiot (building my motor is easy, I understand all that) but I'm not too keen on tranny's(thats why I left this part up to someone else).... Any input advice thoughts anything please share..I would like to have the the motor ready to drop back in my car by next weekend, so is it going to be a long night again? Thanks

Found the problem, the bearing on the countershaft broke, the piece that broke off jammed it and kept it from spinning...
