My friends car is pulling hard to the left (1997 acura 2.2CL).

Her tie rods and bearings seem ok.

She took it to an alignment shop and they said its the rack and pinion. well I took the car to the local honda/acura tech shop here and they said that it would not be the rack and pinion because there is nothing leaking. I don't think its that either because the steering wheel returns to the center and steers fine, it just pulls hard to the left.

After checking things out myself, I asked her if she hit anything. Of course her answer was "Oh Yeah". Something big, it was dark.

So I am guessing that something is definitely bent. She said she thought she hit the right side (passenger).. but anyways..

What could be bent???

--> LCA?
--> Upper control arm? (Her drivers side tire does have some uneven wear mostly on the outside of the tire (positive camber)??

Anything else???

 

LCA would be my best guess my friend hit something in the dark and it was not causing a hard pull but since the lca broke the tire would not stay center so it was causing wear. You should be able to see tire rub on the plastic.
