Well I was about to go to school today and when I stepped on the Clutch to start the car, the clutch felt hella weird. It was hella "loose" for some reason, so I called my fren and he said to check the clutch fluid. So I popped the hood and look at the clutch fluid and it was low. So I went to buy some dot3 fluid to poor in the spot, but the clutch is still "loose." Can ya'll help me diagnose this problem? Thanks.

 

I had the same problem with my ls...in my case--the clutch master cyclinder was blow, but you dont have to replace it immediately...refill the fluid and pump the clutch repeatedly until it stiffens up, it'll take a while but eventually you'll notice some resistance...after the initial fill, everytime you refill it give it a few pumps 'n you'll be fine.

What's wrong with you guy? Don't give him bad advices.

If your fluid went down and you don't see any leaks on your master cylinder, in case your system is hydraulic, your friction disc ( clutch disc) needs to be replaced. The friction material got smaller on it that's why your fluid went down.
