Accord 1990 locks key
Hey guys,
In winter, or in cold times, when I put on park, the car parks but the park light doesn't come on. And when I turn off my car at this time the car does turn off but the key doesn't come out. So I have noticed that I have to wait till the Parking light illumenates and then I will be able to take my key out. What is the problem?

I posted in another thread but hopefully you'll find this.
Same thing happens to me. A mechanic told me it was the neutral safety switch. Ordered one from Napa and it cost around $55. The part's en route, so I can't tell you for sure.

make sure shifter cable is adjusted properly.. if off it will not let u put car all the way into park thus lite won't come on and key won't come off... if adjustment is ok yes it could be the switch..
