Default finally installed my AEM CAI..!!

oh finally I am done with it! I love it!! sound is incredible also!! but do you guys get a whistling sound when you are on the throttle?? I think it is normal cuz its sucking air in, but I just checking..

You can just jack the car and take off the splashgurads and the fenderliner to get to the resonator. Its not that hard

I've experienced the whistling sounds in cheaper intakes, and the AEM (Which is high quality though). But, lots of AEM intakes don't make the sound, so u must've gotten a defective one. I really don't think it's considered "normal" though. It gets super annoying. After I installed an RS Akimoto, the whistling was gone! Most other manufacturers don't have the problem either.

now how could I have gotten a defective one?? I think not....(hopefully) how tight does the clamps have to be?? I tighted them as powerfully as I could have..
I think I would be more wonderous if it didnt make a sound.. at least you KNOW its sucking air in..

Yeah, all the AEM intakes I heard had a whistle to it...this is normal.

i have a quick question... do the filters hang that low?? because i just installed mine today and it's extremely close to the plastic splash guard.

i think the whistling sound is cool. It kind of reminds me of a BOV when I shift too. Not exactly, but a little. But the sound at WOT is much cooler!
