Distributor swapping questions
94 Honda Civic EX. Swapped in a D16Y8. Kept same OBD-I dizzy. Everything was perfect, just mounted funny (1 bolt only)
Today I got a OBD-II dizzy so that it will properly mount and everything. It mounts up properly on the bottom two holes of the head, the top one is off by a couple mm.
The problem is with the wiring. I have read all the stuff about repinning the plugs. Here is the problem though. My OBD-I harness has 9 wires for the dizzy, and there are only 8 comming out of the new distributor.
Do I have a B-series Dizzy? that is all I can think of.
What do I do about a tach signal? That is the wire I am missing on the new dizzy.
