Default Rear rotors

Hi guys,
I am in the process of trying to find some rear rotors for the ITR.
My local Acura dealer wants $120 a piece, NAPA says $66, Autozone claims to have none that will fit, and Advance has some too, but I didn't like them either for some reason, can't remember right this moment.
I paid 20$ a piece for the ones in the front (Autozone/Duralast).
I did some searches and read some posts, but couldn't find an answer to the following question.
What other rotors will fit, and work?
For example, will the Accord V6 (98+) fit? I read a post that indicated this, but I'm hoping someone knows for sure. Also, I've seen people say that the Prelude Type SH rotors are the same.
The Prelude SH rear rotors show to be around 15$ a piece from Advance.
Thoughts?
Thanks!!

The ITR rear rotors are expensive, pay the 66 and be happy as I just paid 90 for each rear.

Front rotors yeah but not the rears. The fronts I paid 22 a piece for the legend fronts, the rears I got for 90 but those were OEM.

You can get the Brembo blank ITR rear rotors for about $40 to $45. The part number is 25550.

I'll keep that in mind when I need new ones. I didn't mind the 90 each though if you compare that to OEM wholesale price.

Yeah, I found that out one day when I was bored and someone posted asking where to get the brembo rears, so I called Brembo USA and asked for dealers and the part numbers.

Yes, I've been using 98+ Accord rears for a while now. I stock them as well.

Not true.

DURALAST
HUB/ROTOR ASSEMBLY
PART NUMBER 31252
2 YR WARRANTY
$48.99

They should be in stock at any Autozone. If yours doesn't have them, you can order them from Autozone's website, where you get free shipping on orders over $75.

How did you get that? Or rather, what car is that for?
I work at Autozone (corporate), and using the latest database I only get N/A for the rear ITR rotor. (Although it shows Beck/Arnley rotors that I can order).
31252 shows as VDP only...but then again I'm logged into a "test" store, so its not always accurate...

Edit: And anyway, the Brembos are cheaper...even WITH my discount...

I got it from the Autozone website. I have my 2001 ITR selected as my car, and I click on shopping, then on Brakes and Traction Control, then on BRAKE ROTOR - REAR.

Try it by going to your (Autozone's) home page.

LOL!

Let us know what you find out (either way) as now you've got me curious...

Wow, thats bizarre, but you are correct.
I switched over to 2001 and there it is.
Doh!
I guess I need to go yell at the people who maintain the parts lookup database.
Unless theres a difference between 98 and 01 rotors??
I sort of doubt it...
Anyway, I'm contemplating ordering a bunch of rotors just to see what is the same.
I'm really curious about the Prelude SH rotors as they seem to be VERY close to the ITR rotors, but alas, Autozone doesnt differentiate between the SH and the regular Prelude, another unfortunate problem. I just need to tell em that Advance has it, and they'll try and fix it (maybe...).
Another thing Ive noticed recently is that even though you can look up a part, that doesnt mean you can always get it.
We are in the process of phazing out some SKUs and phazing in some new ones, and there are times when parts are in limbo.

No, they should be exactly the same for all years of USM ITRs. The Honda part number is 42510-ST7-R00 for all years '97-01.

You can buy the stock ones for $71.20 from Delray Acura, and their website says the list price is only $89.

I looked for a 97 ITR and while they list the rear rotor, it says its not available in store or online. Hmm.. weird.

Yes, that's what Andy's saying. The part number shows up for an '01, not for a '97-98. Yet it's the exact same part...

I'm trying to get it fixed.
The guy whos over that "section" has already left for the day.
Hopefully I can get it changed and out to the stores...

In the meantime, I'll go see if I can find that rotor at a local store, and compare it to some others. The Autozone.com fulfillment store is local and I bet they have it.

If you work for AutoZone then why not use the employee discount and save yourself some $$$....

http://www.collettimotorsports.com carries Brembo rear rotors for the ITR.

For rears same here but I got mine on a discount and before the Centric prices were raised so they were less than the brand new from Acura but more than the ones that Ken found. And in my experience the Generic Duralast rotors last just as long with the same wear characteristics as the now more expensive Centric/Cobalt replacements.

Rotors I have wasted: OEM Acura and Cobalt/Centric.

Rotors I've literally cracked in half: Cobalt/Centric.

Rotors that have faired well at usually less than half the above prices: Autozone/Duralast with a 12 month warranty

Its 2yr warranty now
And to whoever said why don't I use my discount?
Well, #1 we don't get a discount on VDP (special order) items.
Nor do we get a discount from the website.
Also, I think that even with my discount, I'd still pay more for the duralast rotors than I would just ordering the Brembos.
I found the post, and if the prices are still good it was 39 a piece for the rears.
The reason I started this thread though was to find out if anyone knew if the Prelude SH rotors were the same....because advance has some for 14.99 (Aimco GS), although I'm highly suspicious since the price is so low.
I REALLY like the durlast rotors I put in the front though...
Oh well, payday is Friday, so then I can afford to experiment with rotors.
