JDM front ends tend to weigh more due the the excess weight you now have in your *****

The JDM OEM front is all metal except for the PolyUrethane front bumper.

I would guess it would only be a 15-30lbs difference due to the main beam bumper support.

i have fiberglass fenders, a CF hood but im using my fiberglass hood, and polyurathane bumper nd polyurathane lip.

but anyways its only 15 LBS diff? i dont believe it, im guessing more like 50-100 lbs diff because i heard JDM front is not legal in US because of front crash testing or whatever,

It's not legal because there's no bumper support on the JDM Integras. That's all the weight you'd be saving, is just that support which, as NightRider-gsR said isn't that much.

As stated before, the REAL front end in Japan is OEM sheetmetal just like the USDM ones here. Nothing different about it. Your car will weigh less because you said you have fiberglass fenders and a hood. Consider yourself lucky you don't have a fiberglass bumper.

How would it be 50-100lbs? Tell us which parts you think are THAT much lighter. If anything, the headlights will weigh more. The bumper should weigh more. The hood is a larger hood and also should weigh more.

honestly, it wont be much cause the jdm hood weights so much, it will balance out, the hood weights probably twice as much as the usdm hood,

Dont believe the hype. Fiberglass is neither weak or poor fitting, unless the manufactuer made it weak or poor fitting.

I have fiberglass fenders on my JDM conversion. You dont save that much weight over the US, as everyone is saying the only weight you would save is from the bumper support beam.

Altogether, you save 10-15lbs max. You'd probably save more weight by eating right and going on a diet.

Correct. When comparing front ends with ALL OEM parts, I believe JDM is heavier.

Opposite, JDM would be lighter. JDM Integra use a bumper support "pole" instead of a thick beam used on USDM cars. That's pretty much the only difference in weight.

i bought my car with the jdm front end who ever did it it looks like they use the us crash bumper and used the upper part of the jdm core support. my new IC is going to basically get rid of the crash bar so im gunna die some day.

don't kid yourself. it's completely illegal. not only does it not pass the 5mph crash test, but the headlights are not DOT approved, and thus, not legal.

the car has no hood, front bumper, exhaust, so i wanted to give the cops one less reason to pull me over so i zip tied it on i got the bumper today hood will be here in a week or 2. i was only driving it to break it in then i put it in the shop to get tuned and **** so its cool now and i didnt get pulled over for the 510 miles i was driving it so its all good now.

No, we have told you many times already that it isn't lighter. What would make you believe it's lighter? It doesn't pass the crash test because of the missing bumper support. You can still leave it on, or use the JDM one if you like, or you can remove it altogether. Everything else on the car is the same weight or heavier.

Fenders are slightly larger.
Headlights are longer (probably heavier, and some will have the HID ballasts, making it even heavier)
Hood is significantly larger/heavier.
Bumper weight difference is negligible.

I don't believe you should even worry about weight. You have a fiberglass kit. That isn't a real JDM conversion anyway, of course yours is lighter.

i think he's talking about the bumper reinforcement bar, which obviously is lighter because it's only about a half inch thick, as opposed to the US part which is about 2 or 3 inches thick.

but not only would you never in a million years notice this difference when driving, but the weight is probably made up for with the heavier headlights; especially if you have HIDs.

fender at most weigh about 15-25 lbs at most each one im guessing? and fiberglass ones are probably nerly abou 10-20 each possibly? so if u think you got a weight reduction when you went JDM front, i wouldnt consider any gains if anything, now if we were talking nearly 100+ lbs in difference it would be something to talk about, despite the fact that the radiator support is lighter than the USDM one, that would only be/add another 5-10lbs at most if anything as well. its hard to say. but if your really stuck on it. why not take each part from ur conversion and weigh it out??

Don't forget about the headlights They're not DOT approved in any way shape or form

Though I would venture to say if we go part by part....the only things that would be considered legal would be the bumper, fenders, grill piece, and hood As far as everything else.....well...its pretty much been said already.
