The engine/tranny components are all the same. The engine is also the same between a manual transmission Integra and an automatic Integra, contrary to many rumors. Note that the exhaust piping is a little longer on the sedan versions.

In an Integra? Putting a motor with LESS torque in a HEAVIER car is definitely NOT the way to go. Perhaps if you're talking about the transmission, then it's a different story. Shorter gearing (more mechanical advantage) is always better in all conditions. Finding a happy medium between speed/acceleration/gas mileage is your choice.

LS motors (full swap) are very cheap. If you look around, you should be able to find a full one for $800 or less.
Ones with high mileage are even less, and ones with low mileage are a little on the higher end of that range. Just look around. Most people don't care too much about mileage because when they look specifically for cheap LS motors, they are gonna rip it apart to build and turbo it. Internals at this point are going to get thrown out anyway.

i think he might have been talking about just the tranny.
to the thread starter all 94-01 ls trannies are the same and the engine output is the same give or take a pony or 2
the only ls trannies that are different from the rest are the 90-91 and maybe the 92-93
