i swear i remeber when i used to come into this forum and it was informative and fun. i would allways learn stuff about my car that i didnt know.

i stopped coming in here for a while because the whole section was just going down the *******.

now it seems that s2ki i the only place to go.

i know i am not alone here.

what the fuc k will it take to exercise the "gay thread" demons from this section of honda-tech?

 

heh, I hear yah on that. I stopped replying to lots of stuff here. Seems like there are 3 or 4 members who just reply to everything even if they have no idea what they are talking about and then just keep talking to each other about nonsence that should be taken to PM. Someone needs to step up and mod this forum a little better. (Take out some of the trash around here, keep it more tech)

 

1. mods don't do anything, and they won't step down to let someone else take the possition...
2. there is no chatting in actual technical threads, and if there is it's very minimal.
3. there is chatting in dumb *** threads that noobs make like (which car is better?, where can i find parts? blah blah blah... you get the idea)

 

1.) Get the S2000's out of the price range of the 16-19 year olds that seem to be buying them daily and asking the rediculously generic, irrelevant or just silly questions...

Guess you haven't been to the ITR forum. Much more "useless chit-chat" in the threads. Granted there is probably more tech there, but then again, there are more members, also.

We try to be informative, but when the topic of the thread is "Where can I get performance parts for the S2000?" and the body of the message reads, "In general." WTF are we supposed to respond to that? And that's one of the "better" threads. There are jackasses asking about how to fit the whole S2k interior into a Delsol. Like Hypnosis said, get the F&F wannabe's out of here, and it actually might be a good forum. But with no mods, it's nearly impossible.

If you think about it, the S2K has been out for almost 6 yrs now. I am pretty sure all the tech stuff has been covered. Its hard to find new tech nowadays unless its on the 06 model and its differences

 

I totally agree with what you say...Simply put I don't come into this forum expecting to see anything useful. It has turned to complete garbage (or has it always been?) and I think it will continue until the mods are changed or they patrol daily...Even though when they did it was like a ghost town in here...If I need any real information I either use my service manual or go to s2ki.com. Honda-tech is only for killing time

 

i agree with all of you... i use honda-tech to kill time s2ki fourm is the best place to learn about our cars..new products DIY stuff...Honda-tech just isn't good for s2000 honda-tech is more for EK,EG,DC,DC5 cars

 

You guys can try to blame it on mods, but that's not the issue. It's the idiots with the lame posts. Even if the mods were to delete those threads, sad to say, this will be a barren forum.

BTW, there are lots of info in S2ki, but there's PLENTY of useless crap, too.

i know the cars have been out for a while and the unknown factors of the car are quickly evaporating, but there is still plenty of stuff to discuss about these cars.

hell s2ki, isnt as gay as this.

and i nknw that the obvious answer is that i should just go to s2ki and not come back, but i dont want to have to do that.

i am on s2ki also, but less than 6 months agao this section of honda tech was wayyyy better than it is now.

on one hand we get pissed when people bash newbis (which is just a clever way of saying dipshit), but on the other hand, if you dont **** the nwebies off so bad that they never want to come back, then they just keep multiplying like ******* rabbits until every post is rediculous.

it is a paradox.

reading through some of the topics in here recently, i honestly feel like the average age of the people who are posting has gone down from upper twenties to the 16-18 year old range.

when i was 18 or 19 i was honda-tech, and i asked stupid questions, and when i did, i got ripped the expletive up by people and i learned to stop asking stupid questions. i started searching for obvious answers in stead of asking abvious questions, etc.


there has got to be some way to save this thread.

and Y2k S2k, i agree that some of the chit chat can be humerous. six months ago every thread that was posted had some smart *** comment by you, and it was hilarious. i am not saying that this should be a section that only engineers can get something out of, i think we need some comic relief, but we also need some relief from stupid posts.

that right there pretty much sums it up... the mods stopped modding this forum roughly 6 months ago....

i agree we do need comic relief here and there and some dumb threads.. but there are just way to many.. when you look at the front page and 80% of the threads are dumb.. there's something wrong... and the mods need to delete and get rid of them... keep a couple of threads here and there so we can make fun of some newbee.. but most of them should be closed asap..

and jsut like you said.. you learned after you got bashed and thats what we are doing now.. every newbee that asks a dumb question we bombard him with flamage.. and usually, we won't hear from that person again..

I haven't been on here long, most of my posts are useless, I really don't even care much for HT. It's entertaining sometimes, but yea, a lot of garbage lately. I could remember coming here and actually reading techs, people's projects/showoffs/builds/whatnots, but those are far and few now.

I actually kinda miss all the flaming, though sometimes it was directed at me. So where are all the OGs at? Sold their Hondas and moved on?

 

I gave up on here a long time ago.
