I'm considering this size tire on my Teg & wanted to know will I have any clearance problems like scrubbing? I've got Skunk 2.25 inch lowering springs w/ a full camber kit. I don't autocross but only go to the strip so my camber is set @ zero front & rear. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
u got stock struts..? i rub with mine n iam only riding on 205 50 15 maybe if u had stiffer struts u wont rub going up curbs n sharp turns..
back when i had 205/40/17 tires, with my tein springs and DZ shocks, it rubbed when turning and when i hit bumps on the freeway. so i thought getting Omnipower full coilovers would stiffen it up and prevent the rubbing, but it didn't. i had to raise the car to prevent the rubbing. it didn't look too bad. but with a 2.25 drop all thhe way around, i think you will have a problem, no matter which shocks you use.
well if you go to the drags..i don't think you should get 17's there way to big IMO makes the car feel way too heavy...and might even slow you down. ontop of that you would scrap everything in sight....16's would do you good tho!

yay...i get to ***** out more pics of my car...lol
Here's when I had 17" Racing Hart S7's. 205/40/17
If you plan on going to the drag strip, I recommend keeping/getting a pair of 15" wheels. 17's will actually slow you down. As for my set up at that time, it would only rub when I hit big dips in the road, take hard U turns. Personally, this was my second set of 17" wheels, and I noticed that tires just wore out a lot faster than 15's or 16's. Especially if your dumped.

nice car iH8RICERZ. yea, i agree. get some nice lightweight 15s or 16s. 17s are only for looks. i'm currently running 17s with 205/40/17 tires. i only rub if i hit bad bumps. i'm gonna get a set of 15s soon.

camber is at 0 with no finger gap in the front. fenders need to be rooled to avoid rubbing. when i was -1 caber it dident run though
EVERYTHING will be alrihgt! I have 205/40/17 with a camber kit, also lowered like yours, on my teggy and i have no problem with it. No scrubbing or enything like that.

Well what makes me ill is U can't seem to find any wheels (other than stock that I know of) that seem to have the correct offset no matter what the size 15's, 16's or 17's. Maybe I'm just looking in vain.

Nice Teg man!
Clean! I was considering larger wheels to run on the street cause I'm SC'd. Thinking maybe the little heavier wheel might cut down on the wheel spin. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I gotta friend who has a 98 Lude w/ a set of Volk Gram Lights w/ the 205/40/17's & I think we have the same lug pattern. If so he'll let me test fit his whs on my R & see what we come up w/. Thanks for all the advise & pics to go w/ it! Still up for ideas.

I've got an R & of course the shocks are a bit stiffer but if I bust a quick turn @ just the right angle I'll hear my front tire touch the plastic fender liner a bit. Maybe I oughta wait till I can budget a full damper set w/ the 17's.

U mentioned the Pro Kit & @ 1 time I had the same springs on my R They didn't lower the R @ all but did handle a slight bit better. Amazing that 18's fit OK.

Thanks for the pic. Tics me off cuz I don't have a digicam yet or I'd post a pic of how low my R sets w/ the Skunk springs.
I used to have 17's with 215/40 tires. It rubbed alittle but i had coilovers and raised the car slightly and it was fine and still very very low.

Guys U'v all been great to give advise but I'm probably got to realize that if I get 17's I'm gonna need a full damper kit like Tein or Omnipower to have plenty of adjustment for error. All I need is to get the rims & tires w/out the damper kit, put them on then find I'm in scrub-city! Then I'll be looking @ my new stuff sitting in the garage till I get something to fix it! BUMMER!!!
