Hey everyone im on this site http://infinitemotorsports.net/....... and if i am reading correctly it is saying that the JDM H22A will fit in the del sol if u purchase the kit which is about $400.....can anyone help me out on this one because it is a pretty cheap engine and i think it is the prelude engine am i right? anywayz if anyone can help me please do...this engine on there site is going for $2599

 

Why do you want such a heavy motor? do you just want to go straight? it's harder to find aftermarket parts for a H22 then say a B-series motor such a B16 or B18.

To tell you the truth i didnt even look at the weight aspect i was just looking at the power aspect......i just need a more powerful engine to replce the 127hp engine i have under the del sol.... i want atleast 170hp and the H22A has 200 and it was under 3000.......anywayz yea i was just wondering if it would fit but if it is heavy it wont effect it that much since the del sol is a pretty light car.

 

b series motor will be much better for you.

yes the h22 will fit...but if it hurts steering in a civic...think of what that will do for your del sol.

 

it will fit in a del sol. a Local shop here has a Del sol with a H22a

EvilDragII what b-series motor would u recommend which would give me power yet would also give me good milage for every day driving?

I dunno there is some one from the bay area with a 12 sec turbo H22 powered Del Sol.... Its pretty sweet! Anyone know which one i'm talking about.. Blue with skyline tail lights.

 

You See id be happy wit 13 secs...but 12 secs is even better ..... skyline tails must look amazing..... so if a h22A with a turbo can produce 12 secs id be glad to use that engine......because without the turbo it is 200hp and that is pretty wicked compared to 127 hp...does anyone know how fast a stock del sol's time is?

 

if you want a fast car, h22a is the way to do to it.. and all this **** about not that many aftermarket mods for it and blah blah.. i managed to build the entire motor with aftermarket parts so thats a whole lot of horse ****..

 

thankz fOde.....u got a del sol with a H22A??? how does it run and is it heavy on the front end??? did u have to make suspension upgrades of any sort? and what times are u running? thankz peple i appreciate it

 

do whatever you want....

you want a fast car that goes straight, then do a H22 swap.

if you want to turn, do another route...otherwise, i think putting a H22 in a del sol is dumb...IMHO
