I have SPC rear lower control arms installed on my CRX and i noticed my car doesnt handle quite as well as i'd expected. I noticed after installing them that the toe looked severly off. I went on the website and i noticed that it said i needed to buy the rear toe kit that goes with the LCAs to solve this problem so i went on ebay and bought it:

</A>
I tried to install these on my car today so i could finally get an alignment done before it snows, only to realize my front trailing arm bolts where the new toe kit goes are stuck and i cant get them off. Im scared if i turn them too much they'll just break off and ill be screwed. My question is whats the best method for getting these damned bolts off? When I put my LCA's on, i had to drill out those rusted bolts and it was a pain. Im afraid im going to have to do the same thing but hopefully someone can make my life easier by helpng me out.
Does anyone else on this board have the SPC rear toe kit or any other one for that matter? Is it really necessary that i get this put on my car in order to correct the rear toe? Can i just go get an alignment done reguardless and the toe be fixed somewhat?? The *** end of my car swerves when i go over bumps and im scared as **** to drive it in the winter. If i'd known all this work was neccesary for some LCAs, i wouldn't have done it. If anyone could help me ASAP id be truly thankful. Peace

its possible there is enough adjustment, try it first, if you need more adjustment you will need the adjusters, if the inner nuts are spinning you will have to cut open a hole like ] behind then hold with some vice grips, dont worry its not structural you can always weld it back shut when done, dont forget the anti-seize this time

so you think i should just go get an alignment anyway??

well, the alignment shop will have to deal with those rusted bolts, too.
some i've seen are lazy, or will charge you an arm and a leg for getting them free.
there's not a good answer to getting them off, but from what i've heard, it's not usually rusted too badly into the nut inside the car, but just into the bushing, which would be able to be fixed by sawing on each side of the bushing.

SPC LCA are crap. they are specifically designed to be shorter than stock, making CRAZY positive camber. do not install them.
i wouldnt even install them with the upper control arm, which you need to shorten the length compared to stock, then you can dial back the negative camber to normal. but that just reduces your rear track. who knows what that does... all for the sake of tucking your rear wheels in
sorry youre having such problems with the toe link. just put the stock arms back in and get the car aligned again. have them deal with it, theyre probably more used to dealing with stuck bolts and will do it better.
you said you had difficulty removing the stock LCA, hopefully that doesnt mean it destroyed your stock arms. you really need to put them back.
i dont know why you ppl are so infatuated with colored suspension arms... especially ones that make your car handle worse....

thats a good point but i litterally got them for FREE because SPC sent my buddy the CRX ones for his civic and he had an extra pair of CRX ones sitting around...now im paying the price. The only reason i even replaced them is because my bushings were shot in the first place
