Well..with all the recent stolen ITR's being posted...i was ready to be another statistic. Today while sitting in class...my alarm goes off (compustar pager alarm) indicating that there is somebody around the car. A little while later another tone goes off indicating that someone is physically doing something to it.
I get up and run my *** to the parking lot at school...(i dont think i have ever ran so fast and so hard in my life, and dont think i ever will). As im running up the stairs i saw 2 guys outside by the door, and another one sitting in a grey integra ready to jam. I guess they saw me running and they got in the car and left. By the time I got to my car they were gone. I couldnt get a license plate number, or a definite description of the guys.
I take all precautions necessary to prevent people from taking the car...but as i always knew NOTHING WILL STOP THEM.
I guess i got lucky this time...be on the lookout for any suspicious people around your car

Damn, way to go with the pager alarm...id be twice as careful now though...they might be back and they probably know what kind of alarms u have and what shedule you run.
You live in LA ands drive your car to school? You sir are a brave man.
You may not want advice, but being that I can't mind my own business I'm going to give it anyway. Forget the crotch rocket and buy a daily driver instead.

Well, i personally think they were testing the car to see what kind of alarm etc... it had on it. I do believe since now they know its there they will be back with the necessary tools. That was the last time im taking my car to school.

Haha, my car is parked literally 8 feet away from me while I'm at work
I can look out my Window from my desk right now and see her parked there!

Good to hear you scared them away, I have the aladdin page alarm, which you guys thinks its better?
same goes for me. At school we have security guard in the parking lot that sits 10 ft away, maybe I should buy him some soup for the cold nights, that way he'll be more alert of my car.
.....i go back to my car after every class roughly 45 min to an hour to check up on it....
there is a reason i swear by pagers.... way to go, if it's a school parking lot you can probably put a car cover on unless it's like parking pass type lot, cover+good alarm+pager=no way for a theif to touch that cover without your alarm paging you

Like I stated before...
if you want to own an R and not have it jacked...
garage---> drive it around---> garage.
Nowhere does that include "parking"
This way you avoid all the jazz. This car should not be a daily commute car, just like you would not leave a TT 911 in the parking lot either.

Glad to hear that you didn't become another statistic!! What school do you go to???? I've had a similar situation before where I'm walking to my car and I saw 2 people standing next to it and lookin suspicious but as I get closer to my car, I pretend it's not my car and see what they are doing. They just looked at me and got in their car. And now, I don't bring my car to school anymore and drive an old *** beater instead.

The TT 911 is probably ten times safer in an unattended parking lot than the R...

That is INSANE but probably true to compare it with a car that is significantly more expensive.

More expensive doesn't mean a thing when supply and demand comes to play. You can park a Bently Azure convertible ($350k) and those phucken thiefs will probably kick the tires of the Bently while stealing your R. The fact that not knowing how to steal a Rolls or a 911TT is probably one of the reason too. So instead of depending on your alarm, get creative. Buy a Helm manual and get to know your car's better. Like hood latch cable's lacation, front hood latch mechanism, Ignition key mechanism...etc and start making mods so you car will be different and harder to steal than the rest of the R.
