going to pull an H22 what do i need for a swap?
I recently purchased an H22 from a salvage yard, it is a 97 Prelude 5-speed, to swap it into my 97 civic CX hatch. id like to know what exactly i need to take from the car. i know i need the shifter and cables and obviously the motor and tranny. i dont need the ecu or the harness tho right? i usually use the search option but its currently not working. i was doing some reading on honda-acura.net and couldnt seem to find the information i need. am i understanding correctly that i need to run extra wires off the ecu for the v-tec and other sensors. am i also correct to beleive that both cars are OBD2? so the swap should be kind of easier? ill also need hasport mounts(im not sure on the quality of the alum. ebay mounts) and also need axels, i havnt done much searching for the cv axels but hasport axels are $400. mounts are 600, thats a little steep. even tho i did get the motor and tranny for $500(119k miles), from a scruffy faced j-yard worker lol. please if anyone has some info on the wiring( i like pictures but if not thats fine) and i need to know if there is anything else to get the car going?
if you would of read this you should of noticed he tried searching, but the search is down again.

i seem to have MOST of that already and i cant make any sence out of it, if both cars are OBD2 , why would i even have to read the obd2-1 conversion. most of the information on that link seems to be related to the EG not EK maybe i just dont know what im talking about. im basically looking right now to find out what i need from the prelude in the yard. thats my main concern. and im not sure what you mean by ATTS.
what does ATTS stand for? i did a search and came across this.

you say it will be useless. im assuming i cant use the prelude radiator because of the lack of engine compartment space.
how would i know if the car has it, lines going to the radiator that look like tranny coolant lines? or is there a better way?

try the search one more time with archived content i went threw all the pages and didnt see any thing that that said for sure whats up with atts some people say it can be done others say it cant be done but one thing is for sure you will need the ecu and the atts box that sits right next to the ecu
axles around 350 and mounts around 500, thats about right, not steep. you got the engine cheap.
if it has atts you're SOL, and need a new tranny from a non atts car, it wont fit.
I don't know **** about OBD2 - 2 swaps, but i'll assume you need the prelude ECU since it has different fuel and timing curves than your d-series (duh?)
and you can use the radiator out of your civic for now, fab up some mounts to use the 'lude one, or just buy a good thick aluminum 1/2 width civic radiator.
i'd do an OBD2-1 conversion on the engine though, then use an ECU adaptor to run and OBD1 ECU so you can tune that ****
thats probably what everyone is talking about with OBD2-1, OBD2 is junk for tuners.
