Default wiring problem..

ok..i got my swap all done..stock d16a6 motor. but when i turn my headlights on..my stereo turns off and my clock gets real dim..even the rpms go down just a bit.. when i shift into reverse the stereo turns off for about 5-10 seconds then comes back on..also when i turn the headlights on my temperature guage goes all the way to high. then after about 3 minutes or so smoke starts comin out from the dash and ****..only if the lights and crap are on..so i'm guessing theres a bare wire or something somewhere..touching another i'm thinking it could be somewhere in the subharness that connects to the gauge cluster/clock/radio also someone told me it could be the ECU..but i doubt that. anyways, let me know guys. thanks

yeah It could probaly be a bare wire touching metal thats what happened when I saw my headlight wire smoke from out under my hood it was a wire touching the metal and was buring through the headlight wire so check all the wires under the dash and everything I am currently putting a wire harness in my car so There is no wires in my car at all at this time this is my 4th time doing it. So what I would say is like look under the dash and see whats up or take your dash off 5 10mm bolts and your dash is off real easy.
