OK I know this may not belong here but forgive me i have to share this......OK yestersay evening me and my wife were walking out of the pico rivera swap meet towards our car and I saw this female staring at me I meen making direct eye contact with me. As we got closer I saw some one sitting in my car I walk up non chalantly to driverside. He gets out really fast with my stereo in his hand and with out words I hit him square in his mouth, he drops my head unit and we start boxing.. The whole time I'm hitting him he's trying to say " I'm just trying to come up on a hustle for someone else"..Do you really think I give a dam. so were throwing down and I hit so many times and very hard in a matter of seconds that he tryed to walk away from me. He walks to the front of my and to the left. I'm following him so I can beat some more *** and he ends slammimg me against athe front of the expedition we were parked next to. He was breathing really hard and said "you don't want to get stuck man" when he said that I got my back of the expedition grabbed his hair in slammed his face twice to the grill of that truck...All of the sudden I get hit in the back of my left ear by some 16 year old bald headded looking punk I turned around to swing and had litteraly jumped about 5 feet back I turned around again and that ************ that just beat down gets up pulls out a knife and lunges at me. I jump back running into my car when I look foward again he had gone around the otherside of the expodition and starts walking backward towards his car. gets in and halls ***...Instinct told me to chase him but I looked for my wife to make sure she was ok. It had all happend so fast that I never even bothered to look at her. as they're taking off he slows down and she flips me off and they bone out. I got on my cell phone and called 911 and told them what happend the police respone was immediate which suprised me. while all this was happening the was a security guard about 30 feet away... after the sherriff's arrive the security relizes some thing happend walks towards us to see what happend. My wife took down all his information because we are going to see if we have a case against the security company because I pretty much was left to defend myself... The sherrifs dept and me are now looking for 3 suspects...The discription doesn't matter cuz that could be anybody. But they are driving a dark green crysler. I said it looked like a pontiac sunfire 4 door but my wife said she saw the crysler star with CA plates 5XFS771 or some thing that resembles those plates...Rite now I feel one of my knuckles at the top of my hand and I have to get X-rayed... My wife said that it had happend all to fast and didn't realize what was going on... But I did the minute I saw someone sitting in my seat. This all could have turnred out much worse like my wife said..I guess after reflecting back we are lucky to be alive and so is the suspect and any one his accomplisses could of had a weapon or I could of had had my knife in the car. but now that suspect is wanted for burglary and assualt with a deadly weapon..soory if my typing fucked up ive typed this whole thing with my left hand... I thought I would share this with you guys just to be careful were ever your at cuz you don't know when some thing like that can happen to you......

Why could you waste your life over a car? CWP doesn't give you the right to shoot anybody.
Didn't i hear that a bulgary broke in a house in CA and got hurt and sue the owner over 1/2 millions and won?

When things like this happen, you can either have control over yourself and think before taking action or just follow the instinct.
Me, I've been robbed 4 times in my life. When the fifth time came, I was surrounded by 8 guys trying to rob my sweater and my bycicle.
I decided to calm myself down, and tried to calm them down too. It took minutes, and one big punch on my face, but I was left alone, still wearing my sweater and riding my bike after controlling the situation.
LOGICx420x, please... the next time something like this happen, DO NOT take action, no sudden moves, and TALK... you might be more succesful. I am glad to read that you are ok, and your wife is ok too.
That guy only had a knife, but you could had been a gun, and if they are cowards enough not to look for a job or hit you from behind, they would not think twice before pulling the trigger.

Dawg, take care of yourself, and never go "man to man" in situations like that.
I am not against guns, but I prefer martial arts and self protection techniques other than bullets.
I hope this never happens to you again, and neither to any one of us here at honda-tech.

ayear ago i had something similar happen. I tracked the guys down while on my cell phone with cops. They ended up getting arrested and i got my headlights and stereo back...

Action like that is remarkable, but you don't want to get batted/stabbed/shot because of a $100 dollar stereo... Take care of your self and put an alarm on the car.

you know after all that I was thinking I should have kick him in the nuts and done worse but it all happend so fast..I was I Iraq for a year and when I got back I always wondered "what if" and now matter how much I wish I could go back and maybe do somethings all over I don't think I would because i'm alive rite now able to tell my story. But I'll tell you what my knuckles maybe broken but I can' imagine how how his face feels rite now I know I would'nt wanna get hit by or my head slammed into the grill of an suv.. But what pisses me off guys is that worked for my ****, not by hustling or stealing....but serving 365 days in a combat zone... damn dude seriously effed up. considering its local makes me worried, but that kind of stuff happens all the time.

if you were alone i would say you did everything exactly like you should... but you gotta think about your wife dude. she's defenseless against however many of them there are, and you have to remember that. i'd say rock him, make him remember how hard you hit him for a long while, then get in and leave the immediate area to get your wife safe man... call the cops after that.

Major props man, people can say what they want but when the adrenaline hits **** happens and logic goes out the door. You've experienced that in Iraq I'm sure. Ya keep an eye on the wife (where was her pepper spray?) but I think you did the only thing you could have. I knew SUV's were good for something...like beating someone's face in! And dumb *****, why didn't they hit the swap meets instead of your car...that sounds like a better plan lol?

And...for all you NRA pussies. Conceiled weapons can save your life. (that's a big fat period in there) In that situation he has every right to shoot the punk in the knee or shoulder (if they move at him)...its self defense. Even if he had sat back and not done anything you really think those punks would have let him get a good description and license plate number?...I don't thinks so!!! The smart thing to do would be pull the gun before confronting them and hopefully you don't have to use it. Without a doubt there are some disappointing lawsuits out there but most of them stem from people not keeping a level head, you don't have to shoot to kill and a gun is extremely persuasive in those situations!

 

Here in SC, I'd have to drop to the ground and cry like a baby, waiting for them to kick me. That being assault with a deadly weapon, I have full right to shoot. Not that I would do such a thing. I would have probably done as Schmitey said and had close control of my weapon to see if they really wanted to talk things out.

I totally agree but in my best opinion make sure before you pull out the gun and shoot him. I would be caught in the moment also and just would have shot him a long time ago. Make sure the situation can be controlled. Supposed you did shoot that punk's knee. The police/cop/law enforcement would have asked you "could you have run away/escaped?" Make sure you say NO at this point. If you do decide to say YES you totally screwed yourself over.

Immediately the cop would say you had intentions of causing harm or possibly ending life.

When we walked out he leaning up against the back of a toyota seqoia in the first parking row I was was parked in 4th parking row from the front of the building and whats funny is that my care has a tendency to make stupid comments about people and when we saw him she said "shouldn't he be doing his job instead of leaning up against someones car" That was all to weird afterwords... When we were giving the cops the report my girl took down the security companys info and that guy had the nerve to say he was on his lunch...Now I don't care who you work for when your on your lunch your "out of site, out of mind" Rite...So he fucked himself for saying that...

1. He' wasn't just going for my stereo his intension was to jack my whole system which is valued at $1500... He tryed to open my trunk from inside but I always keep locked from inside. I know this because handle for my fuel was pulled...

I am mexican, Born and raised in the varrios of East L.A.. I think we were raised a lil diffrent then most people and to me it's not the value of what he was taking but the principle that is why the cops are not the only ones looking for him...It all goes back to "what if" I'm not a gang member just a real life Soldier...
