Default The perfect rpm for shifting

for example if my car cut's off @ 7200 rpm when is the perfect time to shift?
7100 7000 ?
you may shift when its 7200 but wouldnt you loss power if you didnt shift 100 rpm sooner or so ?
I was just wondering and now waiting for your opinion

it doesnt stop making power but it feels so because when I race some cars I pull them in the 1st and 2nd but @ the end of the 2nd gear and when i shift to the 3rd the car kinda get slow so they pass on me!
edit: my 1st goes to 60 km/h and 2nd goes to 120 km/h and 3rd goes to 180 km/h then the 4th takes you to the top speed which is 210 km/h and the car is 5 speed but it doesnt go any further.

technically redline usually isnt where you are making the most power, and i am guessing you have a relatively stock d16z6/y8 i would say on redline is fine...

well its written on my engine D16Y6 and I'm not sure either its z6 or y8 for you guys, but I saw some replies for some of the guys here arguing about the y6 engine and saying that there is no y6 engine !

third gear is where alot of civics lose, its a longer gear than first or second and the lower torque of a d16 engine hurts here unless u turbo.

peak HP on a z6, so honda says is made at 6800RPM... but constantly driving your car that hard isn't all that good for the motor if you think about it... it can handle it but causes wear faster.

save ur money and get used GTO for 22g. Then u'll see that third gear is just as fast as the first.
