Passed down through the family, from his older brother that drove it through high school, to his sister that drove it 1.5-2yrs, and now to LilOyo who has had it for a while now...Although not too much done, I personally think it is a damn clean ride! Not another 89 Accord around this area and he is trying to keep a little "old school" style that not many people are willing to rock. There is nothing more than a DIY IceBox, Magnaflow n1-style muffler, 10 or 12k HID kit, yellow painted fogs, and lowered on SI wheels but working on auto to 5spd conversion and swap. Personally I think its a clean *** ride...Lemme know what yall think! btw: LilOyo is not claiming to be a photographer, just wanted to show yall the Eight-Nine...Gimme some feedback!

nice man! If I were him though, I'd get some JDM corners, the OEM bumper lenses (clear with amber inserts), GSR swirleys, move those aftermarket fogs to the OEM location, and paint the bumper grill black.

Good idea...except for the swirleys...get some rota's.

 

I had one of those, same color and all... my first car I still miss it. Good job!

 

need to ditch those wheels ASAP...other than that, that is a sweet *** 3rd gen.....

There's plenty wrong with it.. aside from the weld on midas muffler, and the PVC intake he has [remember the correct translation for home-made icebox, and n1-style muffler]

also has 10-12k color temp HID's...those offer almost no functional advantage over halogens, and look ******* retarded, not to mention, his headlights are not even remotely constructed to make any use of an HID system.

First, my car is not JDM, which puts it leaps and bounds ahead of this sixteen year old piece of trash. But no, there is nothing pointless or useless on my car... not a damned thing. Flawed? Every car has flaws, but mine don't have any aftermarket flaws. So yea, according to that definition, my car is perfect.

 

I like how you compensated the overall shittiness with HIDs.

Yea, I like the car, but I hope your friend understands that HID kits are bad in the first place, and in the second place, 10-12k is sheer lunacy. INcredible glare from that light housing, plus the fact that you lose light output from about 5000k up in favor of color. Basically he has pretty bulbs that don't do much but look cool to him. I dont know how to do a retrofit in those, but tell him either retrofit or take those things out...they're a safety hazard to himself and other motorists.

I like the effort he put into such a lesser known car
