I am in need of a d16y8 oil pan and I came across this for a really decent price:



I am thinking it's for a z6 but maybe a y8 since it is silver instead of black...but when I remember my gasket wasn't like that.

thats not a y8 for sure. y8 have 10mm bolts inside. if thats for a 92-00 sohc i believe most of them are all interchangeable except for the y5,y7, and y8

 

and the y8 is aluminum, not steel like that one

 

looks like a 88-95 pan

 

defintly not a y8, y8 are silver and aluminum, and use silicone gasket (RTV)

 

After looking around it isn't a y8 oil pan mainly because the gasket and also where the baffle is...the y8 is more to the side.
