Do any of you guys have the Spoon slotted rotors on your R? Just wanted some opinions of them.

Spoon rotors = too much $$$$$$$$$$ for the performance they provide

get OEM ITR rotors and send them to get cryo-treated so they last you three time as long.

Actually aren't the Mugen rotors larger than stock? Hence they'd be better than the stock sized Spoons.

I've thought about the Spoon rotors - but I've been looking at the Endless rotors recently as well...

I have the SPOON slotted rotors and like them much better over stock. As long as you use any other pad other than stock you should feel a big difference. I'm using Endless pads all around and the car seems to stop a lot better than stock. And they really aren't that expensive for a slotted rotor........... IMO

Anyone that actually buys either of these rotors seriously needs their head checked.

because most likely the only reason why people will buy it is because of the name, even though its way overpriced. *shrug*

Spoon's rotor are made by Honda with a higher grade material. They also have some sort of coating on the rotor to avoid rust. I mean it's a nice piece and I think they are not overpriced parts.

Are they larger than stock? Or just specially treated stock rotors?

I'll bet a case of beer that they don't stop one inch shorter than stock, or even Autozone legend rotors. Slap on some race pads and they'll glow orange just like any other rotor.

If you need rotors, go w/stock or Brembo OE's. The slots do nothing for you.

1 - Less brake rotor mass, so less heat can be absorbed
2 - if rotors warp, they *basically* can't be turned
3 - slots fill up w/brake pad material

If you like to buy rotors, then go get em.

Check what the race teams run. That'll give you a big clue.

the spoon rotors where only 140 each - they feel better than stock/ but not by much with stock pads/ with aftrmrkt pads, the rotors feel alot better. Plus slotted is nice So expensive NOPE! ALso these are not bigger rotors if they were your stock caliper would not be able to compinsate without a full replacement caliper -which i intend to do anyways.

I dun think 140/each isn't bad for the Sp00m rotors!

how can an upgrade be a waste. or " money to burn". I wanted a cost effective upgrade. Those rotors I researched seem to be the best decision. I work for my money - not you. So if you want to give some of yours then I'd be more than happy to fix up my car the way you think it should be.
