Default v-tech controller

I bought a v-afcII from apexi which is a v-tech controller. It's suppose to let you decide when the v-tech activates but the stupid thing keeps on going off and on. It makes my engine stall at 6000rpm. I need help so if anyone else has one of these help me out I dont know how to stop it from doing this the stupid thing also makes my caution light come on so I have to connect and disconnect the battery so the stupid thing works.

Don't be a dick about it. I would assume that you made an error somewhere when you installed it.

yah these things are pretty difficult in the sense of setting it up (if youve got no clue), it would be best to take it to someone professional and have them set it up for you

Did you set it up correctly? The number of cylinders, number of sensors, etc? If not, that could be your problem.

What does "u" mean? Did you mean "you"

Oh my ******* god... I hate to add to this useless post frenzy (but it's at the top atm of me posting this so i'm not bumping it back up) but could you all PLEASE stop with all the "hahah he said VTECH hahahahahaha THAT'S A PHONE!!11 hahahahah vtech what a LOSER!!! hehaha" stupid bs that goes on in every thread.

He spelled it wrong, who the expletive cares? You know what he's talking about answer the damn question or don't post.

As the others state it would be best to take it to a professional. Sounds like its wired incorrectly...also make sure you have it set at the stock vtec crossover rpm, doubt it'd be the cause of you stalling but meh

if you decide to tackle this on your own and not go to a pro, try checking out the troubleshooting section of the manual http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdfInstallation/25.pdf

It's not too much work if you follow the instructions, and proper initial set up. The Spoon VTEC contoller doesn't alllow for any type of fuel changes, and just changing the crossover rarely makes any usable power.

Simply a waste of money for a Vtec controller...just my opinion. If honda wanted you to change fuel maps or Vtec engagement, they would have something straight out from the factory to do so. You're just asking for trouble.

the led is red by the way when u hit vtec... and yea just follow diagram that is availible on this website and pin point your wire. i just install mine yesterday and it works great, u just gotta follow instruction very carefully and double check everything. Once u install it u have to get it tune, cuz the setting will be all mess up and u wont be able to run corectly even though u set the cyclinder, throttle, sensor, vtec type, etc.. the one that required to be set before u turn it on. I also suggest u take the vafc out before it mess up your car and redo everyhting. Well good luck to you

Yea and Spoon > *

/sarcasm

Did you solder the connections? Verify that they are all correct? If you have a loose wire, that **** will happen... and you could potentially fry your ECU. Confirm you have it hooked up right, you initialized it correctly and all connections are soldered.
