First, the story. Ran out of gas. Added fuel, car started right up and away I go.

About an hour later the car just shuts off. This keeps happening for the night and into the next day (about once an hour). I started keeping tabs on what I am doing when it happens. Its between the 2nd and 3rd gear shift. Accelerating or Decelerating (sp?), its happened during both. 4-Speed auto, 94 Accord.

It seems like an electrical thing, but its so consistant w/ the shift pattern. Does running out of gas cause the fuel pump or fuel filter to go bad? The car runs great otherwise.

Ive always had manual Civics, whats with this Auto Accord?

Anyone know? Is there a relay for the ignition that could be out?
