i think your tranny would rip apart before you feel any speed gains from that, dropping an autotran hurts the sucker everytime you do it..unless your waiting for a manual swap then kill the sucker!

if you know how to do it right, i think the car is a tad quicker in the 1/4 mile, but i would not reccomend driving it that way everyday.
the key is too upshift at around 5,500 so that is will pull a tad into redline and manual shifting increases line presure for a firmer shift which means it's shifting quicker making you faster.

I wouldnt do it all the time, but it will allow u to take each gear to redline, even limiter. I done it alot for the past 3 years, and my tranny feels good, may not apply to everyone. I even downshift and use it to engine brake.
But yeah, if u want a manual, get one.

it cost me 900$ to get mine done
brakes = 60
rotor resurface = 25 each
with 900 i spent on the tranny couldve been a start on saving up for a h22a but i use it as a daily driver + school so i had to use the $ to get it done

yeah the best thing to do is get on the engine brake. when the front of the car pulls up, then you ready if it starts to slide a little pull the e-brake up. but the trick to kinda keeping up with sticks is to get your rpm's up so you car takes off faster but shifting will kill the tranny trust me.
what about if you cruise around in d3 and just upshifting to d4 when you need it 40mph+ i usually do this while letting off the gas while i shift it.
i noticed you can move freely N-D3 but you have to press the button to get into 2-1? and you can move from 1-N freely? if you press the button in and shift it, would that help reduce damage?

shifting like that is shitty on ur tranny cause it has no clutch those gears are intended for climbing hills on the road and decending easier i wouldnt suggest doin it unless u wanna buy a new tranny
Tomm. I will post after work around 11 pm or 12 am with the details how to shift in
a automatic
. My friend has a 93 Accord SE model with 223,xxx miles and it
can hang with most cars with bolt ons. All he has is a eBay style cold-air. Well
anyways I'll get him to write down what he does. Sorry to make it long but we
just drove around in his car and it amazes me how he shifts in it. It feels like a
manual whenever he gets up on it, this car has so much torque for what it is.
