Default My Wallet Says No, No...But My Engine Says Yes, Yes...

Well, as you can see, I'm contemplating boosting my H22, and before you decide to flame me on this being a repeated thread, don't just quite yet.

I have a fully built OBD1 block, with Mahle pistons, meaning I can run more boost than the average H22 (according to Mahle). Question is, what kind of turbo setup should I consider, should I say...decide to push 18 psi on race gas at the track next spring.

I don't want a cheap setup, but I do realize that a good turbo, intercooler, wastegate, piping, BOV, boost controller, and many other parts will run me appx. $3000. I'm looking into a Garrett Ball Bearing T3, which will consume about $1400, but I may just go used, like eBay or something.

What kind of setups do you stock H22 guys run on your Ludes? Should I get something cheaper like an SS Autochrome kit. Or buy individual parts. And, what about piping. Do I use Civic piping for my 94 Civic Chassis, or Prelude piping. So many questions to be asked, I'll let you guys take it from here. Thanks, Rob.

ball bearing GT35 is ceaper than 1400... and you gotta resleeve your block to run aftermarket pistons

and stay away from SSautocrome. if ur gonna spend 1400$ on a turbo why you gonna trust it hanging off that piece of **** manifold . have you not learned anything from the forums ? you know how many SSAC threads are on this forum ? you seen the outcome. you know the results. why bother bring it up ?

civic piping will not work for your civic chassis. nor will prelude piping. custom is the only route for you.

GT35/40 $1395
Mahle pistons are made to work with the stock sleeves.
