Question! about checking milage on motor
If someone says there's 50k on the motor, and doesn't have the paper to show it, how do you trust the person? is there a way to finding out the milage on the motor? maybe by taking it to a shop? i dont know help me out
I would imagine there is no EXACT way to get the mileage of a motor. For example, the JDM motors we buy, we have no way of knowing how many miles are on them. Apparently, it's 20,000-40,000 but who really knows?

i always wonder...a shop here in NC sells engine and he always says his usdm 94-95 engines are 50-60k.....kinda hard to believe when its a 10yr old engine...who knows...possibly check vin numbers on the engine and run it on carfax would be my closest guess....
