How many of you ITR owners are going to buy the new Si?
How many of you ITR owners are going to buy the new Civic Si?
Disappointed with its performance numbers or no, well considering the RSX Type S weighs about the same, has less HP, and is missing a LSD yet the 1/4 mi time of the RSX is faster?
Also Honda apparently removed all torque steer possible from the car

I really dig the new Si. I'd consider it, but not if I still had an ITR.

The halfshafts for the K20Z3 were specially designed to eliminate torque steer even under full throttle applications from standstill.

If I hadn't just bought an Xterra I would certainly buy an Si to have as a daily driver. It would defeat all the reasons I went with the Xterra, but i'm really impressed with what I have seen so far. I'll take mine in silver please.

Huh? Under the new horsepower measuring standards, the RSX Type S now has 201 horsepower (same drivetrain as the previous 205 hp spec), whereas the Civic Si has 197. And curb weight on the Civic Si hasn't been announced yet (since it's not yet on the market), but it's likely to be lighter; the EX Coupe weighs 2701, vs 2840 for the RSX-S.

The TOV(temple of VTEC) Civic Si was signifigantly slower in the 1/4 mi compared to their RSX type S

Doesn't it kind of make you wonder?
The K20Z3 has balance shafts, and the K20Z1 does not.

No offence intended (I love the work they do over there), but was the same person driving both cars in similar conditions?

Hmnn didn't the balance shafts on the 4G63 reduce power on the lancer evolution as well?

I know Honda did say an LSD was added, as well as the tires are pretty grippy michellins, but if you do see the 1st TOV video at the garage in SoCal when they launch it outside at night, the wheel hop is a bit too much
.. I haven't seen a ITR do a FWD burnout like that

but increased the raw feel, which would be better for the Honda and not the acura lol

I dig the new si, that car is going to have a lot of potential. Although, yeah I know it's slow and you'll probably think i'm crazy I love the Scion XB. I had a chance to drive one yesterday and it feels like a little go kart. They just need to do something with that motor....slow
I didn't like it's look at the car show last Feb and I still don't like the look.
At least it comes with a Diff stock. Lets see how it does in GS (supposedly) next year.

GS or DS?
DS for the Si since it has a LSD?

I think the SI is for people who want a practical compact car that is sporty. The price is practical for people out of school, and the LSD and other features make it appeal to people who also might want to autocross it or take it to the strip every now and then.
I don't think the North American market will ever see a "hardcore" Honda again (sub $30,000).
