my friend is gonna sell me a cheap ls motor. its a 95 ls.

motor is complete minus the mounts and ecu.

can i use my old mounts from my civic? i got a d16y8 in there right now.
also do i REALLY need to convert from obd2 to obd1?

what do i need to do this?
any other help will be appreciated.

dont convert from obd2 to obd1 if u do u will have problems with emissions and u will fail just stay obd2

 

you wont be able to bar the motor regardless of the obd because its an older motor in a newer car. you probably will need to convert to obd1, because your obd2 ecu would be looking for sensors that the ls motor doesnt have.

its really not that hard, just get an obd2>obd1 conversion harness and and an obd1 ecu.

as for the mounts you will need to use the ones from a 00 si

 

i live in hawaii so no emissions. if i just swap the motor and use my current harness, will the motor run fine or will i have problems?

also i cant use my current motor mounts rite?
