SR20DET in integras
you might as well sell your integra and get a 240 for that matter. that would defeat the purpose of having a honda. not to mention this is HONDA-tech. but anyways i highly doubt that the idea is practical considering that motor is made for a rwd vehicle not a fwd so youd have to change alot of stuff around. not worth it

Saw one on craigslist recently in a del sol, looked pretty crazy. I'm not a huge fan of cross-manufacturer swaps, but the sr20 is pretty nice. As much as I dislike the above poster for hating so badly, I do think that it would be a lot more cost effective to just buy a 240, and a lot more fun to drive in the end because of the rwd.
If you've got the cash to burn though, more power to you.

if you do that swap then dont even bother calling it an integra or even a honda. thats like swapping in an ls1 in an rx7 and still calling it an import. and what exactly am i hating on? i have nothing against sr20s its just that this idea is pretty dumb. the 240sx looks better than an integra anyway imo so just stick with that.
i think i read something about this somewhere. the integra was RWD with a sr20 motor. but i might have just been dreaming. i don't remember. you should do it and post pictures.
i like 240s but i like dc2 integras with JDM front-ends more.

If you have to ask such basic questions here, you clearly are incapable of ever doing this swap. It is going to require more than a little custom fabrication. If you were capable of fabricating such things, you wouldn't have asked this question in the first place.
Sorry, but that's the truth.

like stated above, there are plenty of k20 swaps in integras. im sure it is possible to put a sr20 in an integra, but it would cost way too much to make it practicle. u could put almost any motor in any car with time and money, but most of those swaps are not cost or performance effective.

^^^^^ exactly
This is NOT "The Fast and The Furious"
Dont you think if this swap was better overall then the common swaps you would have seen it a billion times by now on H-T.

No, because if you haven't noticed already, there is a distinct lack of creativity, and more importantly, money on this website. It would not be an easy swap, but I garuntee the sr20 is a better motor than most of the **** Honda puts out. Honda does have some great, legendary motors, true, but the sr20 is right up there with them.

get a shitty s13 240sx with a blown motor, they are way cheaper than an integra that runs, and swap an rb25 into it. rb25 is gonna be cheaper than an rb26 and its gonna make a lot more power than an sr20. If you want a nissan motor might as well drive a nissan.

Exactly. Why buy a Integra that runs and swap the engine. Hell if your going to buy a running teg just boost it.

please please please please dont tell me you just watched Fast and the Furious and are referring to the scene in Jonny Tran's garage with the green integra with no engine and he said "A couple SR20's would pull a premium at race wars" are you?!
I dont believe that the SR20's are to much hype. Yes, they do make a FWD version of the SR20DET that you could possibly swap in. It would take some custom work to get it going in there. It would seem to be better deal if you were to just turbo your Integra. An LS or GSR motor will put out some good power with a good kit and tune and should'nt take to much to install. If you will search around there is a guy who swapped a DET into a Del Sol. If thats what you truly want dont let anyone stop you and do it. Now if your looking for a cost effective power, I would say to just turbo your Integra.
i'd like to point out that the SR20DE-T is used in many FWD applications... namely half the tuned 1990-1998 Nissan Sentra/200sx SE-Rs.
is it kinda stupid? sure. does it defeat the purpose of having a honda? not really, especially if you have a VVT head (SR20VE-T) do i still think it's stupid? yeah.
neat idea though. why don't we just drop in the skyline engine while we're at it (forgot the name, N35 or something like that *shrug*)

Too bad that's a clip of Pacman's car and someone just put V8 "music" to it.
And I have seen an EM1 with an SR swap, and why not? Stock boosted motors rock...plus it's still scarce out there.
