i did a gsr transmission swap today at work and the spedometer was working fine before i did the swap, my spedo or odometer dont work, i checked for power, ground and the 5 volt refrence at the connector and i got all that, im thinking i have a bad vss sensor what do you guys think.

 

More than likely your VSS. I would recommend cleaning it. If that doesn't work, it's more than likely needing to be replaced.
