Default 97 EJ8 with H22 and 2 inch drop. Problems? Suspension questions

I have a 97 EX with a 2 inch drop ( Not sure of what springs, came with the car) with 17's and 205/40/17 tires. I am in the process of doing an H22 swap. Just curious if anyone has had this setup and curious as to if it is going to work? I really like the wheel gap that it has with this spring setup but not sure if it's going to work or if I need to cough up the flow for a diffenent suspension setup. If you have experience with this please let me know what you know.

TIA for any help you may provide

when you drop the H22 onto anything, its going to drop it more, since the weight of the motor, if you go and get the progess H- springs those are the best thing ive seen out there yet... (in my opinion)

Also Im not going to have A/C and I am relocating the battery to the trunk. My main question is what kind of problems would I have with the axles binding and ground clearance?

I have a 99 ex car with a usdm h22 swap. I have coilovers and kyb struts. My car is in the weeds. I do not have any axel binding problems. You just need to use a 90-93 teg axels and a 90-93 accord half shaft. On the pass side you just need to take the inner hub off of your prelude axel and install it on your 90-93 teg axel.
What mount kit are you using?

Thanks for your input, when you say in the weeds are you talking 2 or more inches dropped? Have any ground clearance issues? I am using the HCP mount kit with the front crossbar.

One bit of clairification about the axles, I am curious about taking the inner hub off of a prelude axle and installing it on my 90-93 teg axle. Would that be required for my 97 Civic? I have the 90 accord half shaft already and the right side teg axle. Just want to make sure.

i got a h22 EK with Omni Power full coilovers.. on 15's.. auto x's..

i got about a Finger gap at the front.. and its perfect.. i can go over speed bumps without scraping or smashing the oil pan and stuff..

Omnipower and h22 EK doesnt really work with me.. its more of a High spring rate.. and u can feel every rock on the road and crak.. I was too babied in the lexus.. LOL

Try the 90-93 axles first (with accord intermediate shaft), if they are too long go with the 89 teg axles. and have a 2-3" drop (coils) and I find the 89 teg axles fit better, as they are shorter. I think a lot depends on both your ride height and mounts as far as axles go. I'm using hasport motor mounts, and the oil pan is a little low with the drop, but not too bad.

Anyone have pics from down low looking under the front of the car?

The 17's will give you more clearance for the oil pan. I would keep it at least an inch above the wheel.

No problems with mine only the occasional scaping on the exhaust but that is only because a weld has broken

Stiffer springs will keep the header and oilpan from bottoming out on the freeway
oilpan is 3 inches from the ground...500lb/front 400lb/rear skunk2 and koni yellows
