question about ECU

Default question about ECU

ok i have a 1992 honda civic CX non vtec.......and i am installing a B16........the instruction said i have to add a wire such as vtec is the yellow wit green strip is there a picture or tell me how to add the extra wire or its already there but i have to do something ahahah.....help me out or just give me the link to a thred if its been made

usually you run a wire from the vtec, knock sensor, etc.. to your ecu..you would need pins to snap into the plugs

run a wire?....does that mean i have to put an extra wire or its there already cau i just looked at me car and it looks like its there and ive notice exrta plugs that are there is that for the VTEC Solenoid and VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor.........do i just pull out the wire from there take out the wire that is on the wiring harness and put the vtec wire where it belongs?.....sorry im tryin hard to understand

and wat do you mean by "pin"

what year b16? you might be able to get away with only adding one wire for vtec if it's a jdm b-series 96+

it is the motor from here http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/...30004 from wat ive seen from my car it looks like i just plug and play and it should take care of the vtec......am i right?

a cx didn't have vtec, so there is no wire going into the plug in the ECU where it sends the signal to turn on vtec.

it will not take care of itself.

and a pin is a metal thing that is the connection between the wiring harness and the electrical thing, as in there is a one pin connection at the vtec solenoid and a ~50 pin connection at the ECU.
