Saw a car with my stolen wheels!
Some of you may remember my GSR was stolen a couple of weeks ago.
The wheels were not to common. And I saw a car with them in the same area where they recovered the shell.
I've already filed a report, but what would you/ or should I do. I'm pissed
A big part of me wants to go vigilante on them.
God give me peace

Were you not in a position to follow the car?
I had the same thing happen on me years ago, the wheels were stolen off the car when it was parked on a side street one night, i found it the ext morning on blocks and all 4 wheels missing. About a month after that i was stopped in traffic and spotted them on a car as it passed (they were a very rare wheel and i could have spotted them anywhere) I managed to get turned and followed the other car...the driver pulled up into a shopping mall car park and i waited till he walked away i then went and had a close look at them and recognised them as mine immediately. I called the cops and was able to tell them that the wheel with the odd hankook tyre should have two puncture repair patches in it and that one of the wheels will have red paint on the inner hub (i painted the rear drums on my own car and stupidly put the wheels on before it dried)
The cops told me to leave and they'd wait for the driver. I got a call the next day to come down to the station and collect my wheels!!!!!
I know that doesnt help you, but i would let the cops handle it.

Vigilante then man, screw it. Is it considered theft if your stealing back what was stolen from you? Police...I thought they were supposed to help people, guess that wasnt in the job discription?

You have to remember, unless you can provide proof of ownership with undisputable proof that they are indeed your wheels it could very well be YOU who is trying to steal the wheel as far as the cop is concerned.
