Default 4x114 conversion...high pitch squeek

i just did the conversion i got the rotors turned but didn't change the pads, i didnt think i needed to, they still had alot of life on them, but then i brake there is this loud and squeek, like if i needed to change them, can u guys gie me some info? should i have changed them anyways? i know its come from the front...TIA

maybe your brake pads are too stiff...

if you bought the cheap stuff at kragen and stuff, they will squeak after minimal use. the pads are still gunna have meat on them but will squeak cuz they are stiff pads..

should have bought pads since u turned the rotors......cheap *** pads or jsut give it time for the pad to wear to the rotors

Always change your pads when you get your rotors turned. Your old pads will have grooves etched into them from the shape of your old rotors. If you put them on new rotors, they could eventually transfer the grooves over to your new rotors leaving you right where you left off.

if anything at all, take some sandpaper to the pad to try to get rid of its grooves. are you using the shims with anti-vibration compound?
