Default SiR guys (or USDM guys with an SiR front end)...Question for you.

They use a dual filament bulb, correct? one bulb for both high/low beam? or is it two seperate bulbs? Anyway, i just need to know what the bulb # is, or what the low beam bulb # is if it's like the USDM 88-91..thanks alot!

They use a single beam headlight. The light bulb code is H4. And yes it is double fillament. The down side is that you may have to get it direct from Asia or Europe as the plugs are not the same as USDM H4's.

Negative. The bulb code is H4C or H4H. Its a double filament bulb that is both highbeam and low beam. They are also the bulbs used in all EF, DA, DC, CP, DB, EG, EK, EJ cars. You can get the light bulbs at JSpec.com.

hey Mugen, the reason I'm asking is because I'd like to get an HID kit for my SiR front clip. When I ask about them, I need to ask if they have an H4C or an H4H? Everyplace I've looked only has 'H4' listed. Got any help?

You can use the H4 HiD system. You might have to modify the clips of the bulb to fit it onto the casing, but i doubt it. If you were using regular H4 bulbs for your headlights, the way the light shines out would be dimmer than if you used the H4. If you want perfect fitment you'd have to contact some japanese companies like Kioto for their H4C HiD bulb. By any chance you know some guys that have the Integra SiR-G or Integra typeR headlights, You can use the HiD bulbs off those lights too. Otherwise you can use H4 HiD bulbs. 4000K or 6000K? I prefer 6000K IMO.

So i can order just a regular "H4" HID kit and it'll work fine? I don't have the front clip yet, it's on it's way as we speak...but I was going to go ahead and order an HID kit before I blow the money! lol.
these are the two sets i've got them narrowed down to:
http://www.XENONDEPOT.com/index2.html
OR http://www.hitechimportlighting.com/bellofhid.htm

Got any advice? I like the thought of having high/low beam work... the BELLOF kit looks REALLY nice. I think it's just 4000K though, and the xenondepot kit i can get 6000K. What do you think? I like 6000K, but I haven't found any kits that use an H4 bulb Thanks for the response Marty

i believe so.

with HID single bulbs its one beam, no high or low i hope you know.

Phillips makes a 6000K bulb which i believe they do offer in H4. If your happy with 4000K then go for it. 6000K is bright as hell. I like it bright cuz usually I cant see the floor or too far in front of me too much around here. 4000K is good just for driving and cruising. 6000K someone might try to shoot you for blinding them. hahaha.

well the BELLOF kit says dual beam kit is like 300 bucks more than the regular BELLOF kit..i knew that it's only one beam...but i have heard that companies are about to come out with a dual beam...so i thought maybe the BELLOF kit already had it. The xenondepot kit uses phillips and they have a 6000K bulb I think i'll go for that one.. Question though- if it's just one beam, how does it work? when you turn on your headlights it comes on 'low beam'....and if you try to do high beams it just doesn't do anything, and just stays 'low beam'? or how does that work?

im not sure about any companies coming out with a dual ballast hid system.

yes.. the kit so bright oncoming traffic will see a white dot in their vision for days. hehe

when you turn on your headlights it turns on.. when you try to turn on highbeam, nothing happens. it just stays on one beam, BTW 4000K is already bright enough for people to double high beam you to shut off your highbeams, Nevermind 6000K. you dont need highbeam. you are highbeam.

With 6000K, You'll be able to blind small animals permanently in the country side along with the deers that like to peer their heads out at oncoming cars.
