FS - The Wreck of the #22 Car - $3000 OBO
I really don't want to disassemble the car and sell it as parts, so I'll offer the entire wreck for less than what I could likely get for the parts.
Damage is on the RF, LF and RR (minor). The tub is gone, but other than the RF suspension it looks like everything else survived (RR trailing arm might be bent, but a spare is included in the sale).
Goodies List:
- Sunbelt Motor. Built 100% to the limit of the IT rules.
- Puckett custom header (with a couple of new dents, but still very usable)
- Brand new OE Si Fuel Pump
- 4 Speed tranny with OPM LSD and ATS 4.7 FD.
- Koni shortened SPSS shocks. (these things are... "special"). RF shock has a bent shaft but is very likely repairable.
- Coilover sleeves and Eibach springs
- 22mm adjustable rear bar
- OPM radius rod bearings (might be damaged but look OK visually)
- Brand new Cobalt pads
- SS braided lines front. New OE rubber lines rear.
- Energy Suspension bushings
- Mugen trailing arm bushings
- Momo wheel/adapter
- Kirkey seat
- Autometer tach/Stewart Warner gauges
- Belts, extinguisher, window net, kill switch, mirrors
- Spares - Mostly complete disassembled race motor (built originally by Sam Moore), 4 speed tranny, LF Fender, Various little bits and pieces.
Not included:
- Race wheels and tires (all already sold)
- Exhaust (damaged by flatbed at track)
Start with a new caged tub, swap over these parts, and have a dominant ITC or H5 car for about $5000 to $6000.
This car already runs under the H5 track record at common tracks, and you can use a better cam (I have one you can have) and a 5 speed in H5.
As an ITC car:
- Track Record at VIR (2:27)
- Track Record at Daytona (2:34)
- Equalled Road Atlanta track record on test day (1:49)
- 3rd in 2004 ARRC
- 1st in 2004 ARRC Enduro
- 11 Sprint and Enduro wins in 3 seasons in a very tough division
- No mechanical DNFs
If you are truly interested IM me. No tire kickers please.
Pictures can be emailed to truly interested parties.
Delivery within the SE can be negotiated.
Take it away so I don't have to look at it anymore.

This is a great deal on a spectacular car
If you know someone good with chassis straightening, then you may be able to get the current chassis/cage back up and running with a new front clip instead of swapping everything to a new tub (just my unprofessional $0.02).
Christian, who'd buy it if he didn't already own a race kaa...

BTW
I almost forgot one little detail.
The 3 track record times were set by 3 different drivers.

The car is (was) fast. Very fast.

This car put a good 8-10 car lengths down the backstraight of Road Atlanta on my '85 ITC Civic. My car's not exactly slow and I think my exact words were "GOD DAMN!"
A very nice car with an extensive list of "must have" parts.

The goal was "no excuses."
There were none. If we didn't win (and we often did) it was the driver. The car never failed, not once, and it always performed spot-on. It really was kind of unbelievable really. Just get in it and drive the **** out of it.

But you were also chasing "The Stig."
The same guy who hopped in the car on the test day, after not even having sat in it for 2 years, and on his 3rd lap became the first ever ITC car to go under a 1:50 at Road Atlanta. Thats pretty damned impressive right there.

LOL! "The Stig" - that's spot on. Mr. M has a new nickname.

Location for what?
The car lives in South Georgia, in Albany IIRC. (Scott, correct me if I'm wrong)
The car is really, seriously good and has a whole lot of exotic go-fast kit. I won some hard fought races in it this year. It's really, seriously good, andi f you want to race in ITC...you could do far worse.

Who in Ohio is the lucky buyer? What a great deal - and sorry for you. from the long list of parts and the pics, it looked like you had a great car! I hope you decide you can't go without racing and decide to build a new car.
Jason Kercheff.
The only thing I know about him is that he's buying the car and he used to run ITA.
I need to get rid of this thing ASAP. I can't even go into my own back yard right now because I can't stand looking at it.
If I build another car it will be well in the future. If I thought there was any chance of doing it in the next 2 to 3 years I'd hold onto this one.
In the meantime I'll just beg myself into enduro co-drives to get a little rush and keep my license.
I also plan to actually concentrate on autocross. I've never really put any effort into it and treated it more like "something to do" on a boring Sunday afternoon. I've also never had a car that was specifically set up to dodge cones... Until now.
I've done fairly well on the occassions that I've driven other folk's national level cars, typically getting within 1 second of the owner in 3 or 4 runs, so I'm kind of pschyed to see what I can do (if anything) if I actually apply some effort.

I'm looking forward to working with the CRX because I have a full understanding of where to go with it.
The Neon is a great car, but I've never quite grasped the setup and I've done alot of chasing with it. The answers certainly aren't the same as they are with a Honda. We went to Dothan to run on the big concrete patch there and the Neon was just awful. Attempts to make it better made it worse.
Concrete can be a challenge, but I know what questions to ask to get the answers I want with a Honda.
That said, I'm going to start out by bucking the STS norm a bit. I'm going to run no front bar, a big rear bar, and less aggressive spring splits.
I think the big rear bar will pay big dividends with the open diff if I can get the balance right.
