First off what kinda plugs are they? If they are NGK's i dont think you have to touch them...Unless you're like turbo or something fully built andyou need a diffrent gap for some reason! Dosn't sound like your that case though!

its just a damn VX and they are just damn plugs a vx puts out what? 85 HP? runs on 87 octane, waste of money to use synthetic oil, i even used 5w-30 in the tranny, it has 13's with 175-70-13 tires, weighs 2094 lbs, has the longest-*** tranny in the world, lets face it, the car is crap to start with. VTEC-E? what a joke, the only reason i have it is to swap a GSR next spring, but for now, its still garbage. so can you please tell me if 1/1000th makes a big diffrence or not?

What other measurements do you have? If you have 43, make it 43. Otherwise, 45 is fine. If you get misfire lower the gap a few mm.

They run better then the old NGK's did, could have been old could have been bad plugs. My gas mileage is better, and it runs smoother...so yea.

I'm running Bosche platinum +4's in my '92 SI now. It's the best that you can get over the counter. All Bosche platinums do not require gapping.(as far as I remember) As for the brand loyal narrow minded , a good product is a good product. I ran into this crap on VW Vortex too. If it works and you like it , use it!

Oh and for the guy that said bosch platinum's do not require gapping.

I sell about 30 or so of them a day. and in every pack of four, i will bet money that at least one of them is not gapped. I have even opened packs where every plug was a different gap. Bosch is a piece of ****, i know because i deal with them on a daily basis. If i have a stubborn customer who insists on buying bosch, i always remind them that the gaps are always wrong

and about the bosch 2 and 4 prong plugs, i get retarded ******** calling at least once a week because they bought those shitty things and put them in and now their car is misfiring and they want to bitch at me for it. and i calmly tell them that they should have bought a real freaking spark plug.

I've always used them. Since my father recomended them. The original platinums I got all came correctly gapped!(not the +4's) Where the hell do you work? Autozone?

I have been told that you should not gap Platnium plugs since the tips are very delicate. Have the guy that sells you the plugs to gap them for you before you leave the store just in case one of them breaks.

NGK's are great but some people dont like replacing the plugs every 30k.

just my 2c

Meh, I installed a set of Plus2s a couple years ago, left them at the gap they came in since who knows how the fark to gap those things. Replaced them with NGKs a couple months ago. Didn't notice a difference in fuel economy except for the Plus2s, they replaced 5+ year old OEMs (the center electrode had literally melted away). Only time the engine ran rough was when the dealership "checked" my plugs for no discernable reason, then didn't torque them down to spec, which caused a plug to work it's way loose.

If your gapper doesn't have the right size for your car, either get a new gapper or jury rig it - need .44? Put .21 & .13 together. Just make sure your gapper is clean & dry. But you should get a gapping tool that has the size you need on it.
