Default Over 2" drop without rubbing?

I just lowered my 2000 civic about 1.5" and my car likes to scrape on little bumps. Has anyone cut out the inner fender well plastic so they dont rub? I'm also in the process of getting stiffer springs in the front so i dont bottom out as easy (from 325 to 450). IF anyone knows how to lower a car about 2" without bottoming out easy...please pass on the info.

Are you on stock wheels? And what size tires are you running? You should not be even close to rubbing with the right tires and offset on your wheels.

yeah i have 18" rims and i dont rub constantly, only with little bumps. My front nose will scrape on bumps or the wheels rub something if i turn faster than 15 mph.
