Default Hardtop not sitting on right from dealer :( 4 leaf clover strikes again....

Well, the saga continues. Hardtop was installed at Honda and when I got home I wanted to clean the window so I jumped in and looked towrds the back of my car and I could see a gap in the middle and towrads the left(drivers side) where the top is not sitting flush.I can actually see outside.

I've tried removing it and re-installing it but nothing seems to work. Honda cliams they are busy and wil not be able to look at it till the end of next week. Any ideas?

you can re-adjust the mounting hardware which is installed on the car, they can do it. Installing a hardtop is a question of patience. It takes some time to get it right, and when it's done right, It's good forever. They just need to take their time with it, which to me sounds they didn't.
Did you have an OEM or the Seibon Bill?

I've heard the weave is no good, it starts to yellow after a while, blah, blah.
If Mugen had a rear defroster, i'd be all over it.I have the OEM one.

Roof position adjustment:

1.Remove B pillar trims, Unlock both lock handles, roof side locks.
2.Set roof on body
3.Adjust:
-Make sure there is no clearance at the Striker and the Boss (windshield), they should seat.
-To adjust vertically, loosen side lock mounting bolts, then move roof up and down as well as forward and backward.
-To adjust horizontal clearance between both edges of the roof and the rear tray molding, loosen rear holder plate mounting bolts, then move right or left.
-Fasten side locks and front lock handles, check for alignment.
-Re-tighten bolts.

Then you're supposed to check for gaps at the front and rear, and if they still don't look right, you're gonna have to adjust again. If the gap is on the rear drivers side, either adjust that rear holder plate or shim the front passenger side striker with (3) 1mm spacers.

I dunno if this helps but:

8,12 are the front striker
13,16 are the side locks
22,23 are the rear holder plates

Oz came by today and we don't think it's the strikers at all. We think it's due to the glass not being properly installed when I had it repaired. And the BS continues....
