Default Removing Emblems on a GS-R- Will a mark be left?

I'm just curious, before i remove my emblems on my 1998 gs-r (just the acura and the dohc-vtec) will the paint be faded underneath them? I'm just using the floss method, but want to see if anyone has had problems before i make a move. Thanks.

uh... no white does not fade...nor does silver...the only color(s) that really do fade are red and red based colors...it will be fine...i mean honestly what can white fade to? more white?

every color fades, man. everything gets a lighter shade, red and black are the most apparent when it comes to fading. white turns a an off white yellowish color.

Your a damn fool, every color fades its physically impossible for it not to fade from the abuse of the sun/rain/snow/hail and dirt. If u work at an Acura bodyshop they should fire your *** right now, I can't believe the foolishnes your spreading on this side of the internet. Of course your not going to notice the paint fading on a new car...its NEW! It takes years and toll on the car for it to fade. What kind of argument is "it also depends on what year new paint will not fade" if its new it hasn't has the time to fade.

now go back to your motha, i think your warm bottle is ready.

I have worked at a body shop in the past.

Not every color will fade exactly but will distort so to say over time (From one area always being covered, everything else getting scratched by washing and normal use, so on). You will notice a small patch where the DOHC badge used to be but just take some hand glaze to it and wax it afterwards. It will go away over time.

As far as the Acura badge, it has holes behind it.

stouter - Get off your high horse. You may know alot, but at the same time, you know nothing. The world is ignorant to itself and the only thing we can do is understand that we know nothing. So sit down because I don't care if you work in a body shop, it doesn't make you all knowing of the subject.

why not just try and not verbally assassinate anyone and be nice for a change?

I've been successful at taking both my DA emblems and my EK hatch emblems off without any fading...(EVEN the DA!)...but they're both black cars...I would see that with a little clean it wouldn't be any big deal...good luck.

OT: I don't think changing your SN will work.

I'm pretty sure they have every IP you ever logged in with. And I'm guessing for every 38th post of any IP you've used, the system will auto ban you. What did you do anyways? Be some stupid expletive?
