Hi guys, i'm new to engine part, i know my question will sound stupid to all of you, but i'll appreciate your help.

Does anyone know if a resonator is good for apexi n1 exhaust system? I had it installed cus someone told me it would increase hp and loudness. The hp did increase but will it it die down in time? The resonator also brings out louder high pitch of the n1 which I didn't like. How can i make it sound deep tone? Thanks.

 

So you added a resonator, taking the place of a piece of straight pipe in your exhaust system, and you say it made it louder and more raspy? Thats funny because resonators are added to exhaust systems to tone them down and get rid of the raspiness. Yours must defy the laws of physics.

 

resonators don't increase jack **** compared to a straight pipe of the same diameter. The beauty of a resonator is that they tone down and mellow out the sound w/o any loss of power. And with an n1, i would recommend a resonator because even with one that system is pretty ******* loud. Also you probably installed on a shitty resonator. I have a true Apexi resonator for sale but shipping it would be a bitch.
