Where to spend money next?
So I am at a crossroads with my 99 SiR.
I am up in the air with what to change next to improve laptimes.
Car currently is a street car used in Solo I, and will see some limited Solo II.
Setup:
Neuspeed sports
KYB AGX
22mm A-spec rear bar/brace
The car works pretty well with this setup and is a really nice daily driver. However, I would like a bit more from it, the guys I run with in Solo I are getting away from me a bit.
So...
My choices at the moment are:
New suspension, thinking K-sports or some other full coilover with 400-500 pound springs, in that range anyway, Maybe new Omni adjustable. Even sweeter would be a used GC/Koni setup..
Or an LSD
I am not sure which will give more bang for the buck on the track, and thats an important thing for me.

Your class rules would be helpful, as well as the rest of the car info.

I think I'd get some higher rate springs (maybe H&R Race or GC) and keep those shocks if they are still in good shape, then add a used OEM ITR LSD (wow, lots of acronyms), which will bolt right into your tranny and costs only about 400$.

He'll need an ITR or GSR final drive to put the ITR LSD in his 99 si. It might be better to send your diff to OPM if you don't want to change the FD. I think a good question is where do you think the car needs improvement? In the corners or on the straights?

Honestly, I say grab a set of coilovers and see if you think the shocks totally suck with the 500 lb springs. I bet you'd be pleasantly surprised with how much better it works and save yourself some money in the short run at least. Then you can buy Konis later when you're ready. I'd adress the mushtasticness first and then worry about damping it as best as possible. Advice counter to what I would normally give, but you know how to turn a wheel so I'm less inclined to think you'd put it in the wall with stiffer springs and less than perfect dampers.
