First let me say i have a sec gen b16 in a eg, when i first crank the car no cel but when the car reaches warm operating temp the knock sensor is thrown, i was reading up on how to bypass it but i don't think i want to do this?? Y would i be throwing the code only at this certain temp not just right away when i start the car?? i just bought this motor couple months ago and its runs great no problem at all but this, i am also running the p30 ecu that came with the swap... Thanks for you help....

 

if you run a chipped p28 then it will eliminate the knock sensor and you wont throw a code anymore for it

 

Same exact thing happens to me with my P30 never figured it out. Maybe its not wired?

Well i wired it to the right location but i was reading somewher here that if the wire picks up any type of voltage the sensor wil be set off but i don't think that could happen because it only comes on at the certain time.. i have a skunk2 chipped p28 my friend is goin to sell to me but i have to wait so i decided to try to fixed it while i am running the p30...wierd huh??
