is there any way to tell if your vtec solenoid is clogged or needs to be cleaned even if vtec is working?????


does it make a difference if you clean it afterwards anyone done this????

wouldnt it not be as loud??? or pull as hard if it was dirty???

if its very dirty inside; wich i doubt; it could cause sporadic vtec engagement. It will not affect performance though.

how do you know its dirty?mmm take it out and look...

juss take off the 3 bolts on the vtec solenoid and take it off (a little oil will leak out) and take off the screen gasket. if its dirty just clean it in some motor oil.
