Default Ratteling in rear

I think I've pin pointed it. But don't totally know what it is. It sounds like the spring is ratteling. Now where the shock goes to the upper mount i replaced those bushings not to long ago so it can't be that? The only thing i think it might be is that the springs bushing may have came out? It happens at low speeds and bumpy / rough roads. Any suggestions? The shocks are pretty new they are KYB AGX.'

Thanks/

Bump for the same problem.

I'm running Koni Yellow SP3's with about 12,000 miles on them, on a 2000 Civic Si with 72,000 miles.

I'm really thinking it's the Bushing where the spring sits in the Upper Mount. I think that might have came out and the spring is knocking since it has like a lil under a CM of room to sway around. hmm.

Are you sure it's even suspension related? I thought my trunk was loose a while back, but it turned out to be my swaybar endlinks. Sound can translate through all those solid parts back there, and it sometimes gets amplified as well.

If you think it's those bushings, I'd get under there and take it apart to find out ASAP.

Ok i thought i got the rattleing to go away but it came back i think the shock might be moving or something. I can't totally tell. The bushings are all there but when it goes over certain bumps it's a knocking sound at the top anyone at all had anything similar???

I think this is what is knocking where the piston is and that washer but those are new bushins in there and the wash doesn't sit that low. I think the piston jumps up. Any ideas?
(btw that's not my car but is the same shock)

How tight is everything? In that pic, the two top mount nuts are loose, so if you get any droop at all, the shock will fall and rattle around. You need to go over everything to make sure it's tight.

that PIC is not my car, im using that as example of what im talking about. what it is im thinking droping is the piston where that top washer is.
