im undecided to when year s2k to get. i like the 05 laguna blue. but i hate the tailight and the rear bumper. i know that you can change the rear bumper no probs. tailight is the question. does the 04-05 have the same wires. i know that the harnesses will have to be changed but are the wires the same. basically can i convert the tailight if i change the harnesses.

 

Laguna Blue isn't available until the 06 model. Tails arent a direct swap, you gotta swap plugs. Rear bumper fits, minus 1 bolt hole.

 

plug meaning harnesses right. so you just have to splice the wires and convert the harness as well to 00-03

 

I also believe there is some slight cutting that needs to be done for the tails. So you're basing your purchase on cosmetic differences?

People are still up in the "hybrid" or "retrofit" ****. A "hybrid" S2000 is useless, and you can't "retrofit" **** in 21st century car.

04-05 tails definitely grew on me, now ima fan of em.
